Supporting Adult Growth and Empowerment for 55+ (SAGES 55+)

Sages55

The EU funded project SAGES 55+ aims to address the pressing need for educational counseling and lifelong learning opportunities for adults aged 55 and above in the European Union. Despite the importance of continuous learning, a significant portion of adults lack access to educational resources, particularly in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and digital skills. The project seeks to empower adult education institutions and their staff to cater to the unique needs of this demographic through training, development of innovative tools, and promotion of lifelong learning opportunities.

Objectives:
1. Enhance the competences and skills of staff in educational counseling and working with adults aged 55+.
2. Facilitate institutional and staff development in partner organizations through project activities and international collaboration.
3. Develop innovative educational tools specifically designed for educational counseling for adults aged 55+.
4. Promote and disseminate lifelong learning opportunities for adults aged 55+ in partner countries and at the EU level.
5. Expand educational opportunities for adults aged 55+.

The project will be implemented in collaboration with three key partner countries: Sweden, Cyprus, and Poland. Each country brings valuable expertise and perspectives to the project, contributing to its success and impact.

Results:
1. Conduct 2 international staff training workshops.
2. Develop innovative tools and materials for educational counseling for adults 55+.
3. Enhance the knowledge and pedagogical skills of staff from partner institutions.
4. Extend the educational offerings of 6 adult institutions in the field of educational counseling for adults 55+.
